The Company was established in 2010 by Ben Saunders who has over 20 years experience in the environmental sector and is an Environmental Science graduate from the University of East Anglia.

We are accredited under the Government’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and are a registered installer with the Energy Savings Trust. 

Ben Saunders is also a Part P qualified electrician and has many years experience of using solar PV systems in the marine (yachting) environment.

We are committed to providing you with a trully exceptional level of service, including;

- a single point of contact from initial enquiry through to final commissioning of your PV system;

- always meeting with you to understand your requirements and to assess the suitability of your property prior to providing you with a quotation;

- providing guidance on any planning application that may be necessary;

- assistance in submitting the Feed in Tariff application form;

- provision of a comprehensive Handover pack containing copies of all key technical documents and commissioning test results;

- we also carry out an annual review to ensure that your system is operating correctly and will provide you with documentary confirmation.

We'll even wash your car if it's a dusty job !

Solar Aid

SolarAid is a charity, but it does things a little differently.  By harnessing the energy of the sun, to power LED lights to sell to rural East African communities, SolarAid is confronting both climate change and poverty together.

  SolarAid believes passionately in business-based solutions to poverty so it uses a social enterprise called ‘SunnyMoney’ to reach rural communities through the sale of affordable solar lights and phone charging products.

These products lead to greater wealth, owing to the savings made from not having to buy kerosene or charge phones; to better health, since the customers are no longer exposed to toxic kerosene fumes – and better education, since children can read and study after sundown at six o’clock.  SolarAid has set itself the bold goal of eliminating the kerosene lamp from Africa by 2020. Consumer Protection

As an accredited MCS installer So Go Solar Ltd is a member of the REAL Assurance consumer protection scheme which is run by the Renewable Energy Association. We are bound by their terms of conducting business and benefits to the consumer include:

- maximum 25% deposit payable on confirmation of contract with max. 60% payable 21 days prior to installation;

- above funds protected by Insurance scheme;

- established complaint procedures.

Microgeneration Certification Scheme
Anyone wishing to benefit from the Feed in Tariffs must have their solar PV system installed by an MCS accredited installer. So Go Solar Ltd is an accredited installer and as such is registered on the MCS database of accredited installers.
